1/2 cup Milk

Masala refers to the combination of spices, which often includes cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, pepper and star anise. This favorite hot drink enjoyed by millions in INDIA and sold all over India by chai wallahs, or tea vendors.

Masala Chai favorite among people especially during the rainy and cold winters for keeps the body warm.

The strength of tea depends on the kind of tea leaves and quality of spices. Do adjust the quantities as desired. Also adjust the quantity of milk if needed if you like tea to be more milky or less.

1. Boil the water with crush cloves, cardamom, cinnamon stick in a hand pestle or grinder (Quantity as per instructions).

Add crushed ginger and black tea powder to boiling water and boil for about 2 to 3 minutes on a medium flame.

1. When the flavors are infused well pour milk and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes or until the tea darkens and turns thick.

2. The flavor of milk should vanish when the masala tea is ready.

Strain the mixture and Serve masala chai hot or warm. Adjust the sugar as desired.
