Make Masala Chai Spice Mix
22 pic Green Cardamon
18 pic Black Pepper
1 tsp Anis Seed
1/2 tsp Ginger Powder
1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
1/4 tsp Fennel Seeds
For 2 Cups of Chai/Tea
1 cup Water
1/2 cup Milk
3 tsp Black Tea loose leaf ( or 2–4 tea bags) Or sub decaf black tea
2 tsp Sugar
1/2 Masala Chai Spice Mix Use 1/8 teaspoon of spice mix for 1 cup of tea
[Optional] Ginger

Masala refers to the combination of spices, which often includes cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, pepper and star anise. This favorite hot drink enjoyed by millions in INDIA and sold all over India by chai wallahs, or tea vendors.

Masala Chai favorite among people especially during the rainy and cold winters for keeps the body warm.

The strength of tea depends on the kind of tea leaves and quality of spices. Do adjust the quantities as desired. Also adjust the quantity of milk if needed if you like tea to be more milky or less.

Make masala chai powder or chai spice mix

1. Clear all the masala chai spices and Mix all the spices to grind jar to a powder finely.

2. Store the chai spice mix in airtight glass container. Use spice mix as per instructions for make tea.

Prepare Masala Tea/Chai

1. Boil the water and milk with 1/4 teaspoon spice mix.

2. When the water boils, Reduce heat to low, add the quality black tea leaves and sugar and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes to infuse flavors.

3. Cover the saucepan and let it simmer 2-3 minutes.

Strain the mixture and Serve masala chai hot or warm. Adjust the sugar as desired.

For Extra Flavors [OPTIONAL]

1. Add Crushed ginger in boil water for extra flavor.

2. Add few tulsi (holy basil) leaves to increase immunity and change flavor.
